Four worksheets which blend a
consonant with the different vowels provide a wide range of vocabulary for children to
practice both the blend and the blend within a word. They are then able to
practice word building using the blend when they complete the exercises . The activities are varied and give the children confidence
when they are able to work independently with the practised ‘blend’. They get a
great satisfaction and achievement in being able to make their own word list
using the blend.
